Her music that had been once played
Soaking up the dark, blue- night sky
Leaning her heart and soul in every note she prayed.
Her last song she sang to herself the night before he was taken away.
Bleeding tears endlessly unto cold rigid ground.
Wishing that into his arms she would stay, her music that had been once played.
And as in every breath she began to take, memories of him began to fade.
Like a handful of sand lifted to the air,
Leaning her heart and soul in every note she prayed
Why did he have to let her go like this, with no other desires she could trade.
Leaving a blemish upon her heart, darker than wine stains
Her music that had been once played
Such an act, she never could have forgave,
With all the turmoil of the world piled upon her shoulders.
Leaning her heart and soul in every note she prayed.
For it was a longing of another glimpse of him that she craved,
A sight of his warm embrace from a sign from heavens above.
Her music that had been once played
Leaning her heart and soul in every note she prayed.
